Thank you for your website and thoughtful commentary about vintage cameras and analogue photography.

I'm an old (75 years) photographer, a longtime aerial photographer still flying and photographing solo.  I have published the first book in 2008 with two more in prgress. 

My emphatic suggestion to young photographers and anyone serious about photographyt is to study and learn the history of photography and the earlier photographers.  Regard this a tool to help explore the world through one's own eyes.

Thank you for a wonderful site & wonderful insights. As an aspiring collector I find your observations intelligent and helpful in what my wife is also calling my "fetish". Right now my "collection" is quite eclectic, but I find myself drawn more and more to the feel, aesthetic, and marvelous technology of the German cameras.
I also find your observations as a Dane refreshing. Keep up the good work!

Great website my friend.  I have both Zorki 4's and Nettar's all of which echo your words exactly.  I'm on a mission of discovery over the next 12 months to revive their use.

If you were to add more information I'd suggest some images and film type references would be extremely informative.

I have  a camera with the name ENOLDE it is a folding camera. The camera is about 3 1/2 inches by 5 inches and the depth is about 1 1/2 inches it is black in color with name tag on the side. Does this camera have any value. I cannot find picture of camera or much information about it.

I am interested in old cameras, I have several including a couple of old movie projectors.
I have 2 slr Pentax and russian 6 fed and zorki..

Your page is just wonderful, insightful, informative and humorous. My small collection owes much to the information you've provided in terms of not just collecting one of everything but finding a few or single cameras that I fall in love with to represent a brand or maker.

I've been lost in your site for hours now.  Your narration is captivating and quite informative.  I've been looking on ebay at cameras that are listed on your site and the cameras don't look nearly as enticing as yours do.  Maybe the cameras you have are in mintier condition and in addition the lighting is romantically mysterious.  Thank you for creating this beautiful site.
